Rapia is a solid wood TV stand made to suit the dimensions of your room and the space available. Its rounded corners give the design a calm expression, allowing it to sit naturally within your interior. The frame and doors are made from solid wood, making Rapia a true heirloom piece.

Every TV stand is handcrafted at our workshop in Ylöjärvi, Pirkanmaa.

Made to your requirements

You can choose the timber species (oak, walnut or ash), the dimensions of the TV stand and the tone of the finish. Every TV stand is designed together with the customer and crafted from start to finish in Ylöjärvi, Pirkanmaa, near Tampere.

The timber used by Havune is sourced from Finnish suppliers with PEFC/FSC certification, helping to ensure responsible origins and sustainable forestry practices. The workshop is also equipped with solar panels that cover a significant share of its electricity needs, particularly during the summer months.

Why choose a Rapia TV stand from Havune?

A TV stand is one of those pieces where standard dimensions often miss the mark. The wall may be slightly too narrow, the stand may sit too low beneath a wall-mounted TV, or the depth may take up too much walking space. Rapia is made to order, so its dimensions are based on your room rather than a factory standard.

The frame and doors are solid wood, not particleboard or veneer. That matters in a piece designed to support a television for decades. The natural grain of the timber
determines the final appearance, so no two Rapia TV stands are exactly alike.

A solid wood door requires more craftsmanship than a board-based door. Wood naturally responds to changes in humidity, so support battens are fitted behind each door to keep it straight. You do not see this detail when the door is closed, which is exactly why it is worth mentioning.

Rapia is a bespoke product, so the width, height and depth are made to your chosen dimensions.
The example piece is 190 cm wide, 40 cm deep and 55 cm high. Tell us the available wall width,
and we will size the TV stand to fit.

The doors open with a push-to-open mechanism. They have no handles or grooves, but if you prefer handles, we can make the TV stand with them.
Just mention it in your quote request.

The example piece has four doors, and the interior is divided by a vertical partition. On one side there is
a solid wood shelf creating two levels, while the other side is left open for taller
devices. Equipment and cables remain hidden behind the doors. If you would prefer
drawers, we can include them instead. We will go through your storage requirements together.

Solid wood responds naturally to changes in humidity, which is why support battens are fitted behind each door to
keep it straight. This is a construction detail that a board-based door does not require, and one of the reasons
a solid wood door can remain straight for decades.

Yes. Cable openings can be made to suit your setup. Tell us in your quote request how many devices the stand
will hold and where the power outlet is located, and we will position the openings accordingly.

It depends on the height of your sofa and whether the TV will be wall-mounted or placed on the stand. The screen is usually most comfortable when your line of sight falls roughly at its
centre while seated. TV stands are typically around 45–55 cm high. The example piece is 55 cm high, but because Rapia is made to order, the height can be tailored to your preference.

Rapia is available in oak, ash or walnut. The timber is sourced from PEFC- or FSC-certified
Finnish suppliers. The standard finish is a matt clear hardwax oil, and the tone
can be customised.

Yes. In addition to the TV stand, the Rapia collection includes a sideboard, display cabinet and stool. The same rounded corners
and tapered legs are repeated throughout the collection, allowing the pieces to work together in the same room.

Meet the designer

[ Joonas Sauvula ]

I grew up close to nature in Kalajoki, surrounded by skilled Ostrobothnian craftspeople. Woodworking has been part of my life since I was young, and part of my family history for even longer: my great-grandfather made furniture, handcrafted objects and violins. That same need to turn ideas into tangible objects eventually led me to establish Havune in 2019.

Today, I design and craft solid wood furniture at the Havune workshop in Lakiala, Ylöjärvi. Precise craftsmanship and visual details continue to be deeply rewarding to me. While tradition matters, I also follow contemporary interiors with curiosity. I believe even simple everyday objects should have the presence to become part of the interior while never losing sight of their function.
