Which table is the most beautiful?
You voted, and the results speak for themselves
We asked you a simple question: which Havune dining table is the most beautiful? We placed nine designs side by side and let you decide. A total of 95 votes were cast, and one design clearly rose above the rest. But the most interesting part was not simply the winner — it was what the top three together reveal about the kind of table that truly feels at home.
Here at the workshop, we are not much for making noise. We would rather let the work speak for itself. But when you speak, we listen — and this time your opinion was clear.

The EXO design took first place
The most popular design received an impressive 35 votes, more than a third of the total. In second place came the classic rectangular table with turned legs (15 votes), followed by the calm, Scandinavian-inspired Kuru in third place (13 votes). The remaining votes were divided more evenly among the other six designs.
What do you actually like?
Three observations
1. A soft edge beats a sharp corner
The winning design shares one feature above all with the second and third place tables: softly rounded forms. On the EXO, the tabletop corners are shaped to a generous radius of almost 25 centimetres, and the same softer design language appears in Kuru. A sharp corner may look crisp in a drawing, but in a home, among children and everyday life, a rounded edge is the one you are happy to reach for. You chose a table that is easy to make part of daily life.
2. Solid wood, nothing else
All three top-ranking tables are made from solid timber — three to four centimetres thick solid oak, walnut or ash. No veneer, no shortcuts. That is no coincidence. The weight and warmth of solid wood, together with the fact that the surface can be sanded and re-oiled even decades later, turn a table into a piece of furniture that can pass from one generation to the next. You did not vote for the cheapest or the most eye-catching option, but for the one built to withstand life.
3. A leg design that leaves room
The winning EXO has a detail that may sound small but makes a major difference: the solid wood leg design does not restrict chair placement. A chair can be tucked under the table from almost any position, without the legs getting in the way of anyone seated around the table. Kuru, in turn, gains its stability from a robust central frame. In other words, the winning designs share one important quality: they have been thought through to the end for people, not just for photographs.
If there is one thing to take away from this vote, it is this: you value the same qualities we aim to build into every table. Approachable yet refined. Soft yet durable. Simple forms that do not go out of style because they were never designed to chase trends in the first place.
Every Havune dining table is handcrafted in our Ylöjärvi workshop and made to order for your home. You can choose the timber species, dimensions and finish — we design the table together with you and craft it with care. The timber is sourced from Finnish suppliers with PEFC/FSC certification, and in summer our own solar panels generate power on the workshop roof.
